Doctor of Oriental Medicine and licensed acupunturist and herbalist, Cathy Margolin visits with Maria about the science behind Chinese herbs and what they can do to help with our wellness as well as our disorders.
Dr. Margolin shares that the single worst choice that we make here in the United States regarding our health and wellness is our poor eating habits. Not just the choices of our foods but the manner in which we consume them. She speaks of mindful eating. Being in the moment, relishing the nourishment, taking the time to enjoy what we are ingesting – much like they do in France, for example.
She also talks about the company that she created, Pacific Herbs, which offers a collection of natural herbal remedies for pain and issues ranging from menopause to PMS. As well as treatment for chronic pain such as backaches, headaches, and arthritic pain.
The herbs have a synergistic effect and have been used for centuries, making it a reliable product to relieve pain without creating an addition or any other side effects.
Suggested use is 1/2 teaspoon daily and Dr. Margolin suggests that the product is consumed according to your situational need, in other words, to address a certain malady and then regain balance.
