Channel Islands University hosted the dedication ceremonies for the Lacayo Institute. The program was presented with a grant from Southern California Edison President John Fiedler. Community leaders were well represented. CSUCI President Rush conducted the dedication.

November 18th CASA is having their 25th Anniversary and Andrea Vigil Program Manager of Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) of Ventura County will be talk about the program. CASA is a volunteer-driven program that provides a powerful voice in court for the children who must be removed from their homes by protective services due to abuse/Neglect.
