Founder of Survive the Streets, Patti Dunn visits with Maria about her unique and progressive way to help the homeless. Located in Seattle, WA and looking to branch out throughout the United States, Survive the Streets works with other non-profits who identify folks that may be slipping through the cracks or on the verge of homelessness. They are identified and their specific needs are stated whereupon you may then directly donate to their plight. Innovative, hands on and a direct approach to helping those less fortunate.

“Hands Only CPR” as explained by Captain Mike Lindbery, Public Information Officer for Ventura County Fire. This new approach takes the mouth-to-mouth requirement of traditional CPR out of the equation. Captain Lindbery explains how to go about it, the importance of performing it and the methodology behind the much easier technique than was formerly taught.

Broadway star, Davis Gaines, who performed the title role in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera” over 2,000 times, during his run on Broadway, in Los Angeles, (where he remains LA’s longest-running Phantom), and in San Francisco, (where he received the Bay Area Critics’ Award for Best Actor) joins Maria about his performance in this week’s Cabrillo Music Theatre’s production of “Kiss Me Kate.” Hear about his career and what life is like as a musical genius.
