Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting – UNICEF Study

Square Happy BabyFemale Genital Mutilation, or cutting (FGM/C) was the subject of the largest report yet and was released last year by U.N. children’s agency UNICEF. The author of the report, Claudia Cappa visited with Maria to discuss what FGM/C is, the 29 countries that practice it and the more than 125 Million girls and women alive today that have undergone some form of the procedure. As many as 30 Million girls are at risk of being cut over the next decade if current trends persist.

GMO OMG!

The film follows one family’s struggle to live and eat without participating in an unhealthy, unjust, and destructive food system.
