Thank you for your patience with our re-launch of the Maria Sanchez Show!  We have accomplished all that we set out to do so we invite you to download and listen on demand or better yet, subscribe so you won’t miss a single podcast.

Oceana marine scientist Amanda Keledjian visits with Maria about the shrinking great white shark population off the coasts of CA and Guadalupe Island, MX.  They make up a genetically distinct population and scientist’s estimate there may be only a few hundred adult great whites left, putting this entire population at risk of extinction.

Friday, August 16, 2013 – Michael Shane and Culinary Crawl

Michel Shane is a filmmaker, producer and executive producer of “Catch Me If You Can” and “I, Robot.”  He visits with Maria about the death of his 13 year old daughter and his Kickstarter campaign to raise $35,000 for a documentary about the senseless loss of life.   Here’s the link to his KickStarter campaign…

Thursday August 15, 2013 – Rafer Johnson

Olympic Gold Medal winner, Rafer Johnson, visits with Maria Sanchez as he is the honorary co-chair for the 12th annual Midsummer Eve Wine Festival on Saturday, August 17th at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza. This is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Thousand Oaks and proceeds benefit the Special Olympics Ventura County and the club’s foundation.  Over the last 11 years, the festival has generated more than $250,000 for the Special Olympics.
