Tuesday, February 4th, 2014 – Aphrodisiac Culinary Event

“Looking to class up sex, not porn down food” says Los Angeles based Chef and Aphrodisiac Expert, Jeff Torin in this interview with Maria.  Chef Torin shares his 17-course tasting menu that he will be serving in an aphrodisiac pop-up restaurant for Valentine’s Day.  And, just what is an aphrodisiac (hint, not Viagara!)?

Thursday, November 14th, 2013 – Cancer Support Community

The Cancer Support Community provides a wealth of services to their clients all without charging for their myriad of programs.  Please learn more about what they do as volunteer Andrea Roschke visits with Maria how the community helped her during her husband’s struggle with cancer.  There are numerous events to assist with raising the very necessary funds including this year’s 22nd annual Holiday Homes Tours on Saturday/Sunday.  December 7th and 8th, 2013.

Wednesday, October 30th, 2013 – SPY, the exhibit

Making its West Coast premiere at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, “SPY:  The Secret World of Espionage” is an unprecedented 12,000 square foot exhibition created through a collaboration between the CIA, FBI, the National Reconnaissance Office, the Foreign Excellent Trenchcoat Society and BASE Exhibitions.   The library Director of Communications and Programs, Melissa Giller visits with Maria to share about the exhibition.  Prior to this, the exhibit has only been in NYC and Philadelphia.

Tuesday, October 22nd, 2013 – Davis Gaines

Broadway star, Davis Gaines, who performed the title role in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera” over 2,000 times, during his run on Broadway, in Los Angeles, (where he remains LA’s longest-running Phantom), and in San Francisco, (where he received the Bay Area Critics’ Award for Best Actor) joins Maria about his performance in this week’s Cabrillo Music Theatre’s production of “Kiss Me Kate.” Hear about his career and what life is like as a musical genius.  The call drops out a few times but picks back up so please be patient.

Friday, October 11th, 2013 – Wolf Connection

Wolf ConnectionWolf Connection Board Chair, Ken Ferber visits with Maria about the amazing rescue, rehabilitation and training the organization does for wolves.  Some of these wolves become therapy animals and they provide programming for at-risk teens, foster children, gang members, veterans with PTSD, and substance abusers.  The wolves will be walking the red carpet with Lorenzo Lamas (Falcon Crest, Renegade) and other celebrities to raise money for their capital campaign on Wednesday, October 23rd at 6pm PDT.
