Cancer Support Community Valley/Ventura/Santa Barbara

Maria is the Community Liaison for Cancer Support Community Valley/Ventura/Santa Barbara. She describes the March Events being held by the Cancer Support Community. She’ll be talking about the “Dear Cancer, It’s Me” High School Essay Contest, the Wings of Hope Gala, as well as seeking donors, volunteers, sponsors and grants for the cancer support community. Promotional and advertising opportunities are available for donors and sponsors. The CSCVVS holds support groups all over Ventura, Santa Barbara and the San Fernando Valley for participants, caregivers and the children of participants. Maria will be participating in free one-on-one counseling for the community. On Tuesday 3-28 from 6:30-8:00 PM, the Community will be sponsoring a special presentation on ‘End of Life’ conversations and strategies. Women march on Washington

We will be looking at the Women’s March on Washington, a political rally scheduled to take place in Washington, D.C., on January 21, 2017, to promote women’s rights, immigration reform, and LGBTQIA rights, and to address racial inequities, worker’s issues, and environmental issues. It aims to send a bold message to our new administration on their first day in office, and to the world that women’s rights are human rights. Our guests will be some of the women that participated in this March and we will hear their first-hand account!
