Author, Jfacebook picennifer Hopson, “Pookie and the Lost Shoe”, shares with Maria her personal appearance on Saturday, September 7th. Known as a teacher, author, songwriter, and singer, Jennifer has a big heart. After obtaining her Master’s degree, Jennifer began creating educational songs and writing clever stories that focused on motivating and inspiring children. When the test scores of Jennifer’s students began to advance, the effectiveness of her method was soon recognized. 

Within the classroom, Jennifer also begins the day with her inspirational motto, “You are amazing, wonderful, incredible, special, stupendous, remarkable, and do not let anyone tell you that you are not!”    Click this link for her website

Colony Collapse Disorder explained.  National Geographic News Magazine writer, Jennifer S. Holland, joins Maria for the discussion.  Up to 90% of bees are dying and the mysterious killer remains unknown. 

For the last several years scientists have fretted over the future of bees, and although research has shed much light on the crisis, those in the bee business – from hive keepers to commercial farmers – say the insects remain in deep trouble as their colonies continue to struggle.

This problem affects more than $15 BILLION of U.S. crop production.
